Sun dried safety question...

We picked about 3lbs. of morels after they had dried, naturally, by the sun. Is this safe?

Hi Jennifer,
Yes, as long as they are throughly dried before storing, they will be fine.
If you are unsure of dryness, just place them single layer on a screen in front of a fan on low speed for a day. That will make sure all moisture is removed. They will keep years this way.

You should be fine as long as you keep moisture off them. Not sure what temps you're dealing with but they typically dry fairly quickly and you should be fine.
