I found these growing on a rotted log. They resemble photos of tooth varieties I've seen on web pages. They are not white but I am not sure if that is because they are past prime or if they are a specific variety that is tan colored.
There were several smaller ones that seemed to be new growth but they were also a tan color.
Any suggestions on what they are?

MZ, you have one of the coral shrooms either the crested or the crown tipped, would need the shroom in hand to identify, mike

Thanks. I didn't find enough to consider eating any but I will research the coral mushrooms in case I find another batch in the future that would be worth harvesting. Of course I will have a more experienced mushroomer verify my find.
Thanks again.

I've been looking up info on the web and your assessment of the taste concurs with what I have read. I think I will pass on this variety.
If I'm going to get frequent toilet trips then the mushroom has got to be one of the best tasting ever!
