While in a Virginia woods (oak and beech) on Saturday I came across an oak limb on the forest floor that had about a dozen Chalice shaped cupped fungus growing on it. Black in color with a black stem about 4 inches high. Did not have a camera with me so I hope some one can help. Thanks, Gary
