A little help please

Found these yesterday. Nice and fresh and quite a few growing in the ground in mixed hardwoods (though no Oak) Thought they might be Lepista Irana until the spore print came up white. I am thinking it must be some kind of clytocibe, but not sure of which or edibility. Pleasant mushroom odor. Thanks for your help

They were growing in a grouping individually in the ground. Not clumped or clustered

Miker I appreciate your help. I am also stumped. They were growing mostly individually with a few in pairs. About 40+ that I spotted scattered on the ground in mixed hardwoods, in an area that does not have Oak. Also in an area where I generally do not hunt since I have never found shrooms there before. I am sorry to say that I did toss them this morning after getting the spore print and that was the only picture that showed the shroom accurately. I will try to get back there and take some more photos and pay more attention to the trees in the area. Anything else that I should look for?

Leaf litter? and what kinda tree does it come from, I have found many areas in my life that I believe are contrary to the growth of other shrooms that I find in strict growth areas, (like oaks and chants), where leaves from these trees are caught and deposited by the wind, into areas that have no growth of these trees. A case in point, I find morels growing in amongst a heavy stand of alders and tamaracks, and the only conclusion I can reach is the amount of aspen leaves that I find them in, trapped by the branches of the alder and aspen,mike

Hi Miker

I went out to the area and took some pictures. One thing that was interesting is that as this mushroom matures it becomes more convex. Also I said no Oak. oops, there is some. I am not good at recognizing most trees , once I get past dead elm, ash, Oak, Beech I am somewhat guessing. so I hope these pictures help

stever, I can find pictures and read macro studies of your shroom on clitocybes, but no matching spore print, wonder if it ain't a trich or hygro of some sort,gills look very distant apart, mike

could be. I mentioned earlier that it had a nice mushroom aroma. This time I took a bite as well. All I can say is that it a pleasant mushroom flavor. HMMM wonder what it is???????????
