I didn't know that woodchucks can climb trees....

That's what Bella did, she tree'd him. At first glance I thought it was a big old squirrel.
It also helped me ID some tracks that I saw by the chicken coop. (I thought they were possum)...
He'll be fine as long as he doesn't come near the house.

Tracey nice photo, if you remember that treeline alongside my house, with all those bent and leaning box elder branches, I 've seen up on those limbs many times, yes you are right, they can climb trees, and tomato trellises and so forth,mike

I've seen a blue million groundhogs in my time, but never one in a tree.

Well, I went and did a google for controlling woodchucks, and Tracey, I was surprised to learn that "the woodchuck is the largest member of the squirrel family, of rodents" so no wonder them buggers can climb trees, dang I didn't know they were a fat old tree rat,mike

Yeah, "fat tree rat", and my beef supplier says they barbeque up real nice. Who'd of thunk it.
