Unknown Bolete

I saw this today while picking chants. When cross-sectioned, cap meat is white, stalk is white and pores are buff and bruise brown after a while. Top is now dark brown but had a more dark reddish tint when picked. Did not taste bitter.

I'll second that, its the only one that comes to mind,the depressed rim of the cap is a new feature to me,mike

Thanks guys, it seems to match the description in both Roger's and Mushroomexpert, so I believe you may be right. I won't eat it though but it was neat to find.
Miker, could the depressed rim be a sign of growing conditions. It was really dry here up until last week and then we had an over abundance of rain. Perhaps the cap growth reflects that.

I also found one small bolete I had never seen before. It had a plain thin stem. Both the stem and pores were white. It was older so the cap was concave. It didn't show any signs of bruising and had a very brown cap. No distinct taste to it but it had a nice aroma similar to this one. It broke up in my bag before I got home so I couldn't get any shots of it.
