Homemade Bug Repellent.
Try this one, it works for me.

1/2 cup vasolise jelly
1/4 cup ground fresh sage
1/4 cup ground fresh bay leaf

Grind the fresh herbs in a coffee mill.
Place the vasoline into a small pot and melt on the stove, but do not get hot.
Put the fresh herbs into the vasoline, mix well, and allow to reharden in a cool place for 2 days.

Then place on stove and melt the vasoline again, and allow the herbs to "deep fry" in the oil.
Strain the herbs out with a fine mesh strainer.
Let cool, then pour the vasoline back into the original container.

Works good by me,
mike

If I get a little spot of PI here or there, I (probably not recomended!) hold the affected area under the shower head with super hot water until I can barely stand. You'll feel the area itching like no tomorrow, then it'll get to the point where it won't itch anymore, at that point pull the area away from the scalding water to decrease chances of burning your skin! The affected area won't itch for the rest of the day and it seems to "dry" out too. Sounds painful and crazy, but I seem to get poison ivy quite a bit and this works every time for me. (I wouldn't recommend doing this on a large area of your body!)
