Went out for a couple hours today. Only found three edibles. Pear Puffballs, Lactarius deceptivus and Hypholoma sublateritium. Sorry about the blurry pic. I used my cellphone camera. I left the puffballs and Lactarius and picked two of the bigger caps of the "Brick Caps" for printing. The Lactarius deceptivus were fruiting in my Lobster Mushroom patch, alas, the lobsters are gone. They came up early this year. I'll pick them tomorrow anyway and try the boil and brine method of preparing them.
I'm taking my digital camera out tomorrow so I'll have some better quality pictures to show. No honeys out there yet, but then again I wasn't out very long. Checked my shaggy parasol spot from last year.... nothin'.

Stomped the woods for a good four hours today. Lots of edibles and non. Lobsters aren't quite done yet. Found quite a few King Boletes (a first for me). Stumbled onto a big patch of Lactarius deliciosa and found many Lactarius deceptivus. I took some better pics of the Hypholoma sublateritium. Corts are up, so I'm going tomorrow to check my Cortinarius caperata patch.
