further washtenaw finds, morels in the thumb?

hey all,
found these 8 big blondes last week (wednesday) at a spot in washtenaw co. they were all nice and fresh and some of the biggest i've found in my few years of hunting.

went out friday and found another handful. the two smaller ones on the right i found on the edge of a woodlot that was almost all big oak trees. first time i've found them under oak -- they almost seem like a color i haven't seen before.

question: how have you all done in the thumb for morels? my family has 80 acres with a mix of elm, apple, ash, poplar, and maple. it seems like it could potentially be good for morels and i'm not sure why i've never looked.
