Thanks miker, it's getting close to that time isn't it. I'm going to do a lot more shell beans this year and some different kinds of tomatoes.

Cheese

I'm pretty sure shroom vaccum will read this: I found the sap sago cheese. If you search for "sapsago cheese" you won't find near as much as "sap saga cheese". I'm thinking about ordering some to try. I called the toll free number to check on shipping and the guy said for $7.95 they ship up to three pounds of cheese to Ohio, I imagine Michigan would be about the same. If you order 100 pounds, shipping is free. I was looking over the site and wondered if it would be worth going together to place a large order of all different kinds of cheeses. It would cost me some to ship each person there share but it might be worth it to have the chance to sample many different kinds of cheeses.

Was in a local bakery yesterday, selling them black walnuts, ground peppers etc. As I was turning to leave something in the glass case caught my eye, SAP SAGA CHEESE!!!! I couldn't believe it. Three ounces was $5.95, not as good of a deal as the mail order place but I had to buy one. The guy suggested mixing it with blue cheese. I had just bought some the day before so when I got home I opened both and had a sample with some crackers. That sap saga tastes like nothing I have ever had. The wife kept going on about how bad the smell was but that turned out to be the blue cheese. Anyone want a sample of the sap saga?

Steo, sap saga is a great cheese, next time you make lasagna, add some to it:thumbup:

If anybody is interested in pickling cukes this year, this be the plant! 40 plants in 2 per mound, 20 mounds produced over 300 lbs of cukes, mike

Alright! In that case (ratio cukes to plant) I plan on planting a bunch.
Maybe 2 or 3. :eyeroll:
