I'm stumped..... Coprinopsis atramentaria

I found these growing near some oak trees. Most of them were growing in clusters but some were by themselves. I've gone through my Audubon book a dozen times and cant seem to figure out what they are. They gills are black which threw me off also the spore print is a blackish/brown color.

Pretty sure I found out what it is with the help of this website. http://www.mycokey.org/agaric1.shtml...935.5004634708

Try Coprinopsus variegata. Do you have more pictures ? Also, don't use a European Identification book to Id. North American mushrooms. Many that are edible there are not here, and visa versa. Also they have mushrooms that don't even grow in North America.
