Unknown Hydnaceae

I haven't hit the internet super-hard but had difficulty identifying this white shelf-like fungus, that's clearly in Hydnaceae (cause it has teeth). It was growing out of a huge sugar maple that was alive but in trouble in Presque Isle county MI (near top of lower peninsula), Aug 26, 2017. I reported about other shrooms we found that I knew names for in another thread with title starting "Pholiota squarrosoides". This shoom was pretty solid, but I didn't take chunks out to see if it was woody or just firm.

As soon as you said toothed on maple I was thinking Northern Tooth. http://botit.botany.wisc.edu/toms_fungi/feb2001.html

Thanks. That must be the one - texture of the top (which I did not describe) matches too.
