A few Honeys in Berrien Co.

Here are some photos I took earlier this week of some Honeys growing around a dead tree. This is the first time I've seen them around this tree in several years.

These are growing out of the roots of that dead tree.

Re: A few Honeys in Berrien Co.

For the first time ever the honeys are worm free in my woods. I've picked a few and haven't had the ambition to try them. I've read too many accounts about how bad they are.

I'm still cleaning up on the chickens. Found a white pored one yesterday and got most of it cleaned cooked and in the freezer. Also found a few small hens.

I've yet to see a black trumpet.
Going out in a few minutes to check an umbrella polypore spot.

It's so dry here.
