WNDU and NOAA are both predicting a warm and slightly dry spring. The best years are cool and wet. Based on that it will be below normal, but forecasts are never final until it happens.

It's becoming harder to find them there because CH was all about the ash trees. Most have died due to the emerald ash borer. The morels do not usually grow on dead ash. I will be up north around that...

El Niño years tend to be drier than normal which make for below average morel seasons. Doesn't really matter if it's early or late as long as we get at least average rain and no extreme high (80's)...
