I haven't checked the Jewelweed and Pokeweed on my property. (Those are two watery plants that are very sensitive to freezes) I don't think my part of Berrien Co. has had a hard freeze yet, though...

As for Chicken Fat Suillus...look for them around Eastern White Pine. I have found them growing in the lawn-mowed grass around Eastern White...

They came out around my property in Berrien Co. on June 13th, when it got really warm. I was in Northern Indiana on the 17th and they were EVERYWHERE!

I think a "shed" is an antler that has been shed from a deer.
I've never found any antlers while morel hunting, or any other time, either.

Dead elms are a little tricky to ID this year. Normally, before the leaves come out on elms, they have seeds on most of their branches...while dead elms will be completely bare. The elms bloomed...
