2018 Buzzard Report
Just spotted this years first buzzards for me... just south of Houghton Lake. Looks like this is the latest I've seen them in a couple years - but only by a few days.

Been a really weird year. I'd give him the benefit of the doubt on this one. Any dehydrated mushroom I've ever reconstituted doesn't like that great.

2016 Buzzards
Just spotted our first buzzard of the year. He was feeding on a deer carcass along side of the road. Earliest I've ever seen one but I'm in a new county this year.

There were no morels in the dream but had a pretty vivid foraging dream. I was frustrated that there were fungi all over but most were not edible. LOL

I'm going with Scott on this one. It can be a gamble but refrigerators do a great job of pulling moisture of things. The paper bag would slow down the process a bit raising the concern a bit but...

Mushroom Kit - Easter Present...
I was at our local Meijer doing some last minute shopping for the kids' Easter basket... I found these and picked up one for my son. They were cheaper and the priced listed here...

I agree... a good idea to use mesh if that is all you have but put more than a few and the weight of the mushrooms start breaking them up against on the mesh. I have picked up a few wicker baskets...
