Makes complete sense to me Jon. I was lucky enough to be taken to good spots when I learned. But that was back when shrooming wasn't cool! Those places I was taken seem to be overrun with people...

Thanks for the correction. They are some sort of fir tree along with white spruce and cedar. The trees aren't dying where we found them. Its just one of those years where the morels are literally...

Was up there May 7 and 8 and picked 14 pounds of blacks between 3 of us. Did not count them but I am guessing at least 1000. Should be great this weekend, good luck!

I saw a bunch of those yellow falsies this year too.... definately verpas, but found many blacks around them.....once my eyes got focused on what i was looking for instead of the verpas!
