Do turkeys eat morels?

I've been surfing YouTube, and two of the videos are saying that you won't find any morels in areas populated with a lot of turkeys, since they eat them. Does anyone know this to be a fact? Has anyone ever seen turkeys eating morels? We have a a couple hundred acres of woods behind our house, and have never found a morel, but we do have a rafter of 32 turkeys that visit our yard every day during the winter. Am I wasting my time looking for morels in the woods if the turkeys are getting them first? Thanks for your imput!
