Sweet Cherries in May!

I know that this seems like a hoax but on my word it is true. I picked sweet cherries from my mini orchard today.

I also have apple, pear, plum and sour cherry trees. The fruit on those trees is close to normal in size and development. The plums are about three weeks ahead of normal size.

I forgot to add that the cherries are not plump and are about two thirds' normal size.

Here in Berrien County, our Sweet Cherries started blooming around 3/22/12, about 6 weeks early, and apples were in bloom by 4/16.
I heard our apple crop was wiped out by frost, not sure about the cherries.

Cherries up here aren't very promising. Small orchard I drive by everyday is comparatively blossom-bare.
