Hi my name is Chum (yes thats my name) and I live in the Traverse City area. I manage a restaraunt in Interlochen called Giovanni's Roadhouse.
I love morels and enjoy hunting for them. I usually hunt within an hour drive of TC. I try to get out at least once a week during the season for a few hours. This year I went out probably a dozen times from March (During that heat wave) unitl early May. I found at least 20 shrooms everytime out which was good. My best day this year was a 3lb day around 90 shrooms mostly whites. I was limited this year by only spending only a couple hours in the woods per day but it was still great. Also leaving with a few pounds of ramps is nice.
I hope to learn some things from this site and see how everyone else is doing in their search along with sharing information except my spots :).
