I don't come here much anymore, but a friend just posted a photo of the so called "honey" mushroom and I'll let him tell you what Gary Lincoff says it is.
I don't get it. People rush out and eat things without being 100% certain of what it is they're eating.
I always felt that the online communities would help people as they learn about things, but still, after all of these years, the first thing out of people's mouths is "can I eat it?"
I belong to several mushroom identification forums and groups and soon, we'll be mourning a loss because someone didn't take the time to identify a mushroom properly before eating it.
I hope that doesn't happen, but from what I see, it's bound to.
