These were pretty sandy but I'll make them work. Some decent size out there too.

Those are really good sized! Too bad about the sand. I've started peeling the sand off with a peeler when I can. The cap is so delicate sometimes it doesn't work but those look thick enough you might be able to scrub it clean with a toothbrush.

Let us know how it turns out.

Mine are so much more red have you seen them like this or maybe I have something else?

You have good cinnibars. They look like the real deal. Top photo is probably something else. Mushroom Jack can tell us what they are called.

I haven't seen a chant in a month. This has been a very weird year!

I would say Vance's are Cinnabarinus, just may be a little old or the color of the photo is off. About the only other mushroom they could be is Craterellus tubaeformis. I'd really like to see them myself. If he found them in or close to the Swamps they are tubaeformis. ( yellow foots )

I think the camera color isn't off. I picked some this year jack that were meaty like the cinnibars but yellow? Fresh and not faded. I was a bit puzzled with it myself. I know for sure they weren't yellow foot, as I pick them often. Maybe a sub species of cinnibarus?

I've only ever found one mushroom setting on the couch!
And that was a morel that rolled under the coffee table when I was cleaning them!
