Burn area morels

I wonder if the area around Gatlinburg will produce morels?

I haven't been in that area for several years and I don't remember what type of trees (besides pines) grew there.

Need jack pine. Don't know anything except I wouldn't want to walk those hills.

I don't think Jack Pine grows in Tennessee. There is the similar Virginia Pine found in the mountains there, though.
I have found morels around Eastern White Pine, which occurs in Eastern Tennessee, and some people swear by Tuliptrees, which also occur there. I believe the Tuliptree is the state tree of TN.

Jack Pine is not prevalent in Tennessee.
