I had a similar find over the wked, not to the MAGNATUDE you did but.......went out Sat am, hunted all morning only finding one
Then saw a similar elm as you did and had to look. it was surrounded by hawthorns a raspberries, but once I dug my way in, WOW They seemed everywhere.

Ended with 42 total, ten the size of pop cans, and most of the rest werent far behind. Probably 5/6 pounds under one tree, and as you described they went 20 feet each side of the tree.

Not a bushel like you, but to say the least it made for some good eating over the holiday wked.

An awesome find any day thats for sure. It sure is fun to come across a treasure like that.
