Re: What can these be??

The first ones look like purple-gilled lacaria. Not sure on the second though it looks aborted.

Re: What can these be??

Thanks!! The Laccaria ochropurpurea where abuntant and all over in what looked to be a fairy rings. I left them in the woods, but I can go back to make a spore print. The aborted entoloma (is this the name?) were all over the floor, but just coming up. I did pick one, but my camera was out of power. They grew in a clusters and looked to have a short shallow stem at the base. The Cap (ball) felt very mushy and fell apart when touched, like breaking up the whites of a hard boiled egg. Also they had a very strong pungent mushroom smell. I just found this http://www.mushroomexpert.com/entoloma_abortivum.htm I am a little lost for looking things up right now, because I had to give all of the ref books back to the library. I am in search of hens and honeys right now.
