Bro, I've never found it but I believe I saw it the other day. It sure looks like it to me according to photos I've seen. Congrats if that's truly what you have. I was searching for some for Mary a year ago or so.

keep looking you will find some eventually---thats what I was told been 3 yrs and still not found any but there are very few birch trees around here but I'll not give up---you either

Looking at this post again and cross referencing different sources I am positively convinced I found a very sizable chaga this past weekend. I will harvest it later this year!

The best lessons are those learned before you wish you had known better, especially when thinking edible mushrooms.
