Gruyere and Parmesan cheese sauce

1 Tbsp butter
1 Tbsp flour
1 cup milk
1/4 cup grated gruyere cheese
1/8 cup grated parmesan
3 Tsp fresh snipped chives
lemon juice to taste
1/4 Tsp salt
1/4 Tsp white pepper
dash of nutmeg
cayenne powder to taste
Melt butter over low heat,add the flour stir constantly until golden brown, then add milk and whisk until thick sauce begins. Add the cheese, chives and all remaining ingredients, mix until cheese is melted, pour over vegetables and serve hot. mike
