Best way to preserve bell peppers?

What is the best way to preserve bell peppers? Tried freezing them sliced before and they were mushy.

Best way is to dry them. They last forever.

Second that - been years but used to do that all the time. A soak in some warm water and they'll do fine. No way to recover the same texture as fresh but drying is best.
