Thanks for the great pictures. Hope that you don't mind that i printed them out to take with me along with the mushroom field guides/info that were missing for a while.

Not a problem at all Mike. Something to watch out for is the bitter bolete which looks very similar. One difference is the bitter bolete's pores tend to have a pinkish hue to it. Sometimes easy to confuse the two otherwise.

Freeze in zip lock bags. Be sure to suck the air out to prevent freezer burn. You can then use any time but be sure to only partially thaw them before slicing.

I didnt find anymore, just lots of hens and chickens. Deb your 20 lb Hen was just a couple little clumps this year. I have them for you.
