My first Morels after the Sat. morning rain

Not many, but a good start! Went to my fave spots and they just started popping...HALLELUJAH!!!
Gt soaked, but it's wrth it!

I know about the wierd one!...What is it? I ate the rest ...NOT the weird one! It has silent striations and has a cap like a half free,and it smells like a Morel, not a half free.

Brian, that weird one would be the "Smooth Thimble-cap" Verpa conica.
And it is eddible.

found enough in 3 outings (about 28) to have a real nice breackfast this morning.
