Yoopers

I'm in the copper country. Third yr looking and have Not found one. I'm starting to think morels are made up lol I'm going to the porcupine mtns this weekend for one last hoorah... Are they will around up here?! Will that be a good place to look? The military moves us this yr so this is m last chance to look. Finger crossed.

I've read every article possible too.. If someone in my area is willing to be a guide?! I'd pay. Seriously. (Not asking for secret spot location..just wanna see ONE!! One single mushroom and I would be happy)

I hope you're having some luck. I love the Copper Country, my parents were from Hancock & Houghton & I spent my summers there as a child. I've never gone back at this time of year, so I don't know where to tell you to look. Maybe someone will help you at least with the type of habitat. Get out there & look around every chance you get.

We just spent the weekend in the area of the Duck Lake fire of last year. (Newberry/Paradise area) The 'shrooms are winding down, found a lot of withered dried ones, lots of people in the area so they are very picked over as well. We ended up with a season total of 51.5 pounds. This was our best season ever, it sure was a lot of fun!!
