Candied orange peel

orange or lemon or tangerine any citrus...

peel the outside colored part of the fruit ..the zest.. off in as thin of layer as you can try to leave as much white behind as you can...

blanch ( quick boil) the peels to soften them then scrap off with a butter knife as much white off as you can ... while still hot shake in a paper lunch bag full of confectioners sugar let dry on a plate for a few hours...
