Heading up to Yuma next week any good reports from that area yet ? gonna check my spots down south near Union City this weekend I will report on my finds.

Matt... they're up. I don't know specifically about Yuma but they are finding them in these parts. A buddy of mine found a nice haul west of there...

Sweet thanks for the info maybe my old hot spots will produce this year, gonna try to add a couple of trout to the pan as well , now that's living

Does the western side of the state always pop way earlier than the rest? I figured I'd seem them down here in Oakland county way before the Mesick area???

Starting to make me wonder if my wife and I should head to the GR area this weekend.

Yes, the western side of the state is always first. Those of in the east just have to listen to the excitement for a while before finding em over here.

Some years we have had good finds there the last two weeks of April , this year has been a little cooler so we have held off on going. We hunt from Yuma south to Hoxyville area there is a lot of good state land you can put as many miles on walking that you want. Good luck !
