Brick tops ?

Found a lot of what appear to be brick tops growing on logs. Did a little research & some websites are listing these as inedible/poisonous. Can anyone give any insight on these. Waiting for a purple/black spore print to confirm. Are these a safe mushroom to eat? What are dangerous look-a-likes ? Anyone ever have any problems eating these. Thanks for any replies.

Look like bricktops to me, I've never had a problem eating them, but wait on a sporeprint, try a little bit first if the print comes back positive, mike

I've been accused of the things, I've said
