Remembering Ginny. My sis

I originally typed this in to my Thanksgiving wishes, but it didn't seem right in there. Kind of a downer for a happy Holiday thing, ya know?

Remembering Ginny
Some you remember her from years past (her posts have since been accidentally removed )

She traveled via internet.
Always enjoyed Samual's pic's of the Alps, recipes from miker and others. Loved our old campfire talks.
She enjoyed all of you, for who you were, and what you brought to the forums. Humor, stories and etc. Ginny loved all of it!

Debbie was with my sister Ginny, when she passed the day before (correction) on Thankgiving 2006. I was on the road driving. Debbie and her friend Marylin stopped in to see Ginny before going to visit Mom and Donna. Debbie said something funny during their visit, and Ginny laughed and then died.

Debbie felt so terrible about that.
Until I got home from the road and explained, that Ginny always said she wished to die happy and not alone.
She didn't want to die alone, and she wasn't. She got her wish, thanks to Deb and Marilyn stopping by!

Ginny had someone there who she loved, & who loved her.
Our very own Debbie. She fulfilled Ginny's wishes to die happy and not alone. She got her wish thanks to Deb.
Deb felt relieved after I explained that to her. (she never knew that before)

Thank you, my love, for taking the time to stop by and see Ginny first.
God directed you. There wasn't any time left, for anyone else to get there, as there were no warning signs. She would have died alone, without a laugh or smile, without you.

You were her angel that evening.

Thank you for saying that honey. I am glad she wasn't alone either. I did hold a lot of grief/guilt over the fact that no other family was there at the time with her. Like you say though, I'm glad she left us laughing as well. Rest in Peace Ginny.

Very nice thoughts. 6 years or 2 weeks - we still miss them when they are gone.

was ON Thanksgiving Day, Frank. I was preparing to return home from Tiffany's house when I got the call. (That's OK, you're older than me!)

Yes, I was always grateful that Deb & Marilyn "happened" to be there. That was her fear, that she'd die alone.

Ginny often spoke of friends she met on this board, as if they had met face to face. She certainly treasured time with them.

RIP Sis. Can't see a bottle of Dr. Pepper & not think of you. LOL

I was thinking T-giving too Jim, but when I checked my calendar program it showed day before. So I thought I my have mis-remembered. I may have the day or year put in wrong. Give me a heads up in PM. OK?

Not the 1st time I've entered wrong date. Remember I moved Rufus up a year or two as well as moving her b-day from summer to fall. LOL

Yes, any one of would've wanted to be there. But it wasn't to be. God chose you for her closing happiness.
None of us begrudge you that privilege honey.

And beside silly!
You ARE one of the family, and Ginny always thought that, the same as Mom. You were just one more of Mom''s kids.
When you join our family, whether through birth, marriage, or adoption, you become one of the family forever.
That never will change. It even over-rules divorces. --- Once you're family, you stay family.
