Howdy, Early hello

Just dropping in and saying hello a bit early this year. This winter seems longer than most, and although I am using up my freetime between work icefishing, and hunting, I am about ready to start picking! I applied for my turkey permit too this year, which is a first. I figured with all the time spent in the woods searching for the elusive morel mushroom, I might as well get a main course of wild turkey to add to my appetizer of deep fried morels! What has everybody else been up to lately? I don't know about you guys, but I AM READY FOR SPRING!!!

Welcome back Chris!
Been getting out to the woods recently myself, but its just not the same trudging thru 2 ft of snow as it is in the spring when you are gathering tasty treats.

Heya, Chris!!! Yeah, I too am ready to go tromping through the bush in search of the elusive morel mushroom! I had a dream a couple weeks ago that I found a spot that produced BIG TIME!!! Unfortunately, I don't know where the spot is in real life!

And if April showers bring May flowers....What do February downpours bring?

Just when you think you aren't going to find any morels, something pushes you to climb that next hill. And once you get over that hill, guess what you find? That's right. NOTHING!

Does everybody have their new places lined up to explore yet? I've accumulated quite a few of them with all the places I stomp around during the off season. I know of the dream you speak of, RedWing1, I've had it many times myself!.....ahh....The magical mystery mushroom spot! Let's hope we all find it this year!!
