Blacks...Whites...or Greys???

I'm curious which mushrooms you all like to eat the best...blacks, whites, greys, or something else? I personally like the taste of the first blacks the best although I've NEVER been known to turn down any of them. There's nothing better!!!!
For those of you that have a better hunger for them than eyes to find them, I have cheated and made my own. Just take a can of Campbell's cream of mushroom soup and put in a bowl. Crumble saltine crackers or Ritz crackers up in the soup until your are able to make little patties with the mixture. Then, pan fry just like you would regular mushrooms. They are actually very good and taste very similar to the real thing. Gotta go......I'm gettin hungry.

Sounds like it is worth a try but I think I will hold off until after this years harvest.
They are starting now and my favorite is the Blacks.
Seems they have a stronger flavor but maybe its just that I've waited all winter to have some and thats why they are soooooo Gooooood.

As another well known poster constantly boasts. Grays are the best...

of the morels for me. But I actually like chanterelles more if prepared properly.

But I have yet to taste a fresh King Bolete.

I like grays the best. I like when they are about 2-3 inches, still nice and firm.

I like black's the best also, then the heavy grey's, although I don't find to many. I did find a couple bear's head last fall. Sauteed them in butter, very good & different. How do you cook them?
