why salt water?

Just curiouse as to why some people soak thier morels in salt water. Can anyone educate me please?

The salt water kills the creepy crawlers hiding in the shrooms.

Did you notice any change in flavor with that method? Garlic is a great natural repellent - bugs AND people!

The best lessons are those learned before you wish you had known better, especially when thinking edible mushrooms.
