Tigers & Leyland

I will miss Jim Leyland as a manger for the Tigers,
in spite of his monotone, no expressions mumbling interviews.
I can do a pretty good imitation of him at interviews. LOL

He's done a great job for the team bringing us from the bottom, to the top contenders, I think.
Jim's was a great manager for us, in my book!

His age, and the disappointment of not making the series again, let alone winning it, contributed to his decision.
I can understand that.

I think injury's & a suspension, is what done us in this year.
The bat's did well when team thought Miquel C. was only out for a game or so, and they still won without him.
But when he came back, and wasn't able to perform at his normal ability, it kind of sent the whole team into a slump.

I've no idea who they may try to get next for a GM, but I hope it is the GM of the Texas rangers.
THAT guy really gets into a game almost like a fan.
Even if we didn't win, it worth it just to watch him in the dugout. LOL You don't see many GM's anymore with that enthusiasm any more. I love that guy, even tho I hated when we played them.

We will miss the series this year between Sox's and Cards, as our cable is cut off for awhile. Hope the Cards win it!
In fact we missed last 3 games of tigers too on TV.

One day we just drove around for a couple hours, just so we could hear that game on radio.
But only once. Gas is more expensive than cable.

And God Bless Jim Leyland and his family. I'm sure they need it now, in spite of what money he may have made.
Family harmony and emotions trumps money, any, and every day. Say what you will.
Just my thoughts.

Some of the best people are found right here. - You!

Yeah, I'm going to miss him too.
I only saw him on TV and that's not always a good way to judge but the man seems to have real class.
Hope we get another good one.

I think Detroit put out a sign, "Going out of Business Sale" after the judge approved the bankruptcy. Must have included the Tigers with all the changes. Next year is going to be an interesting watch.

The best lessons are those learned before you wish you had known better, especially when thinking edible mushrooms.
