I'm sorry to be this late with this wish, I'll have to get on board more often. I hope you get to feeling better soon. I have been getting a flu shot for years, and I think they work, but I still get a cold sometimes. You and Sis take care of each other, and I hope to see you soon.

God bless,

Thank you everyone for these fine wishes.

I've had better birthdays I guess, but at least I made it through this one and survived for another year.

It wasn't plain to me if I actually would survive this one. I came down sick the night before my birthdayday and ended up stuck at a truck stop only 4 hours from home. Had to wait there almost 2 days before I had the strength to finish my drive home. I managed to throw up 18 times in 24 hours during that time, so you can see my problem in driving at the time. Thankfully I had a good supply of ziplock bags handy. Whew.

I finally got the truck home on Sunday the 27th. I continued to remain very sick up to now. Slowly getting better now though.

Two nights ago was the turning point, i think. It seemed like I could feel life leaving me and had such a tiny amount left flickering inside. BP dropped, heart rate increased and breathing was getting shallower each minute. My core temp had dropped and I was cold thru and thru. I remember looking in the mirror at my grayish looking skin and thinking that I guess I would set up to see if death won out or not. So I sat in my chair and waited a few hours. When Debbie stirred and got up for work, I told her I'd had a bad night and would try to sleep a little now. I had survived the night. After I slept for two hours I woke up and felt more stronger than I had in days. It was the 1st time I had been able to sleep in a lying down position.

Since then I've started eating again (Nothing from Fri 25th thru Thur 31st). Just some broth at first and slowly increasing solids. Tonight had a pork chop dinner with a salad. So I'm feeling better. Plan to go back to work on Monday if I can, but I may have to move it back a couple of days yet.

What mike said; seems to me to be wise advise, even though I rarely succumb to being wise myself. Take care buddy.
