Some type of yard fungus

Does anyone know what this stuff is? Its all dried up now, but after a rain, it gets very slimy (and slippery). I am assuming its some type of slime fungus but I am not sure. Also...how do I got about getting rid of it?

Looks to me that you had a bunch of geese in your yard!

Re: Some type of yard fungus

Or raccoons...It does resemble the aftermath of a goose invasion though. I will try to post a pic of it when its not all dried up.
