Re: South east poor season

just starting slow, but be prepared to have a bad season. the warm up in march has affected the black morels very badly. and so for greys and blonds depending on how far south you are hunting, maybe some of your spots got too warm, began to start, and then ruined by the cold in april. I know at a certain latitude in lower michigan it was slightly warmer than north of it. it was a weird winter/spring. lots of people are having problems with numbers this year

Awesome. Did they fruit in your original spots or elsewhere?

Thumbs up Re: South east poor season

Every year I follow the blogs and feel left behind. Last weekend I decided to hit the areas that usually get reported early around Jackson. Skunked! Picked a bunch of fiddle-heads instead. This evening I went out in Livingston County and found about twenty whites, all in nice condition. We're supposed to be wet here for the rest of the week. Thinking that bodes well for the weekend.

We have a cottage in East Jordan. How are things in the Northwest. Anybody hunting in the Jordan Valley?

We visited the Jordan Valley last weekend... The ground was very dry and we left empty handed. We spent the majority of the time near cadillac and didn't find a thing there either.
