Thankful to report I didn't see a single tick over at camp this year. It wasn't because it wasn't warm - it was greened up more than I'd seen in the 4 years we've been going so I really expected to see them. Not a one thankfully. I believe in that permethrin spray. I also made sure to spray down the cuffs of my pants, shirts, collar, etc, with regular repellant. Seemed to work.

The best lessons are those learned before you wish you had known better, especially when thinking edible mushrooms.

one thing worst then finding one after you shower, is you shower, go to bed and wake up 3:30 in the morn and find one crawling on ya. I'm in an area with lots of them, pulled 16 off the dog after a walk in the wood the other day, and that is with frontline on the dog ! Part of the game....

Got my first unwanted passenger today in the woods. I just picked it off, crushed it with my fingernail and tossed it aside. So far I haven't found any that wanted to come home with me.
I believe you can put rubbing alcohol on them to make them let go if they are attached to you.

I got two of them on me yesterday. I didn't like that a bit.
