Types of trees whites/yellows grow under?

I can always find the blacks, but get very bummed out when they are done because I don't know where to find the others. I did find 10 whites in my yard when I was mowing last year. But those were the only ones I have ever found. If I knew the trees I feel like it would be a good start to finding yellows and whites.

Whites/Yellows can be found in old apple orchards.

I usually find them within a few feet of ash trees.

Black morel habitats includes Ash, Fruit and Aspen trees (also known as: Popple or Poplar) or even lawns and fields.

The yellow morels especially like Elm, Fruit trees, White pine and Maple. And the Tulip Poplar tree is a good host if they are in your area.

I have just the opposite problem, I have a good spot for yellows and greys but never find any blacks.

Last year I found about 10 huge whites under a big white pine tree. I mowed over about 7 or 8 more before I looked down and realized they were there. First time I ever saw them in my yard. There they were surrounded by pine needles. So you know I walk out to that spot every day right now.

I personally always check dead elms, old apple trees , but like mentioned above Ive found them in stands of pines. The blondes and greys are what I usually find dont have much luck on the blacks.

Have found both blacks and whites various in ash tree stands, all sizes of trees, some that don't appear stressed...
