Asparagus

I saw a thread a bit ago wherein someone was asking about what asparagus looks like when it's gone to seed. I visited my asparagus patch and snapped off a couple pictures...

Edit - the first picture is a really short fluffy one, the others are how the big ones look

Re: Asparagus

If you miss out this year, the fall is a great time to mark spots. THe plants are really full and turn yellow, you can spot them from a mile away.

Thans for the pics and tip about marking the spots for next year. Plan on keeping notes on where I've spotted them, should make it alot easier for next year.

Re: Asparagus

I think I put something on there about wanting to know what they look like when they go to seed. Thank you very much for the pictures. I happened to stumble across some that were just opening up so I picked them. They were still delicious

You say they are yellow in the fall..........yellow as in what my family call a mustard plant or something different?

Re: Asparagus

Thanks for the blooming pics. Kinda reminds me of yellow cotton candy . After trolling for morels this week, I think I have found a few nice spots for asparagus too
