Got some Great Mushroom Books for my B-day

I just got the best Mushroom books ever made for identifing mushrooms. They where a gift from my sister Debby for my up coming birthday. Thank you Debs. After I started reading them and in my opinion, these mushroom books are the ones to get if you're a mushroom hunter or planning to be a hunter.

1. National Audubon Field Guilde to Mushrooms by Gary Lincoff. 2. Mushrooms Demystified by David Arora. 3. 100 Edible Mushrooms by Michael Kuo. *4. Edible Wild Mushrooms of Illinois & Surrounding States by Joe McFarland & Gregory Mueller.

These Books are a must have to anyones collection. I already had the book The Mushroom Hunter's Field Guide by Alexander H Smith, which was my Dad's book. It too is a good book. However, please take note to above Book #4 *(Mushrooms of Illinois). This is a new book (Copy Right 2009) and is awesome for this area of the midwest. Plus, it is eazy to read and covers a good base for all of the edible mushrooms located here in Illinois and the surrounding states . Also, the book has some great mushroom recipes towards the back of the book. This book is a good one!! Again, Thanks Sister Debby.

Wow you seem to have a great sister (Debs are like that! lol) that knows you so well and gives you awesome books. They are wonderful to educate yourself with aren't they? I know some of them seem to be works of art. Happy Birthday to you! Sounds like it was a great one. :)

Frank thank you. Love books about Mushrooms. If I remember correctly, the book that belonged to my Dad (The Mushroom Hunter's Field Guide by Alexander H Smith) is the same one you have and also have used as a reference. It's an old book. But it's still a very good one. My Dad used this book for years. Years ago, He passed it on to me and I have used it now for years and years. The other Books that I just got from my Sis, I have used before. But, had to go to the library to get them. Now they are in my collection!!
