Boyne area

How is it looking for Mushrooms around the Chandler Hills área? We are planning on headingthat way on May 21 for a week of hunting.

It's becoming harder to find them there because CH was all about the ash trees. Most have died due to the emerald ash borer. The morels do not usually grow on dead ash. I will be up north around that time, but I will probably only spend one day of my 3 day trip at CH. The hunting there is easier than further south in terms of undergrowth and ease of walking, but the hills are a bit of a pain in the rear for a big guy like me.

There is really nothing up here right now...very discouraging....I am heading south this weekend lol

We have been here for the past few days. Worst I have ever seen it. Can't even buy any. Need rain here. There is actually a fire warning in the UP right now and Boyne isn't much better. Very discouraging

Don't want to sound discouraging. Hopefully by the 21st they are popping. It certainly has been warm enough. There is nothing going on now in the area however
