Heading to Boyne area

Hi all,

I'm heading to the Boyne area April 25 - 27. Any reports for the general area would be helpful. Thanks

Also are there any ramps up in the area? A nice bunch of those would be nice. Thanks

Re: Heading to Boyne area

We were there last week. Plenty of ramps but we only found a few small blacks. Need rain. We had potatoes and ramps tonight. Only thing missing were the morels other than we had a bag of vacumed sealed frozen morels from last year that were wonderful but waitning for the fresh 2012 batch. Nothing compares to the fresh. We are waiting for a couple of weeks to return. Not to say you won't find some now but need rain

Re: Heading to Boyne area

I was talking to a friend who found 150 dried up blacks no fresh over a 3 day weekend just north of Boyne. They said it seems like the blacks may be done unless your closer to the bridge. I don't have spots there so I can't tell you from personal experience. Hope this helps you.
