Honeys and Hens?

I found these at Brighton State Game area, but without my books for ID, and the fact that I only harvest morels, I left them behind. I think I found 2 clumps of Hens near a stump, as well as abundant mushrooms near many dead trees that I thought were Honeys.
One of the clumps of what I think was a hen was being guarded by Poison Ivy, and some of what I though were honeys were inaccessible due to having to wade through shrubs of Poison Oak.

From what I found Saturday, it appears that Honeys are very abundant. The recent late summer rains have really helped the fall mushrooms. I am going to look around Berrien County to see what is growing and post what I find.

I agree... sure looks like a hen, possibly a bit aged. Those do look like honeys but something about the one you have in your hand raises concern. It may just be an old specimen but I don't like the look of it.

I'm 3 hours from Brighton SGA. Those specimens were on the improved gravel trail near a stump and a bench, and may still be there.
Those suspected Honeys were in various stages, but the fact that many were aged made me question whether or not they are edible. I would have thought that they would not be there if they are such a choice edible.

Honies and hens Jochs, good going, sometimes you can find them growing on the same tree, which is a double whammy for yourself, mike
