odd place for yellows

was walking through a stand of big toothed aspen hoping to find some big blacks and found 10 monster greys and yellows i didn't know the yellows grew in BTA stands

nope 100% BTA.. they were right in the middle of a deer runway in the middle of heavy hunted woods

my friend also has a couple stands of BTA where he says they produce a few greys and yellows.

found 4 more about 50yds away from the others they were on the edge of the BTA stand with black cherry trees around. it was weird because the spot was very dry but the shrooms were fresh

I found 5 nice yellows and one giant 8 incher Friday all around only aspen. It's not unheard of for me. I always glance around them especially small ones up to 3" in diameter at the edge of fields I offer find them there.

In southeast MI, yellows are common around BTA. But we have no blacks here.
